Provider Profile

Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center

“Children whose basic needs are met and satisfied during the formative years of their lives have a better chance to grow and develop into happy, healthy, well-adjusted adults physically, emotionally, and spiritually.” Since 1998, Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center’s first-class, Three-Star-Quality childcare center (a United Way site) has been dedicated to the financial, social and spiritual development of families in one of Nashville’s low-income communities. Our staff and volunteers offer challenging educational opportunities to equip children for success in public schools. Through effective job and parenting skills, training and urban-suburban friendships, we serve the entire family. The mission of the Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center is to provide a source of hope for the families we serve. WRCCC serves up to 50 children, ages one to four and offers a Metro Pre-K class. Not simply a daycare, WRCCC is a school where learning begins at age 1. With the assistance of a well-trained staff and committed volunteers, the center works to jumpstart low-income children for public school so that they enter school on an even level playing field with their suburban peers.
